Absolutely! Not only is this town beautiful, it’s also steeped in history with plenty to see and do. From world class plays at the RSC theatre, to visiting Shakespeare’s birthplace, to rowing on the river, this picturesque destination is a must-visit.
Street parking in Stratford Upon Avon can get very busy and there’s a limit of 1 hour. To park for longer, I’d recommend choosing one of the local car parks at the leisure centre, recreation ground, and Bridge Street.
Stratford Upon Avon makes a fantastic day trip but if you really want to see everything this town has to offer, I’d recommend staying for the weekend. This will allow you to see all of the main sites during your stay.
Yes! Every Friday on Rother Street you’ll find the market with a range of different stalls from fresh produce to crafts. The Waterside Market on Sunday includes a range of street food vendors too!
If you’re not interested in Shakespeare, there’s still plenty to do in Stratford Upon Avon. Take a tour of the RSC Theatre to get a peak behind the scenes, go rowing on the river, visit the escape rooms, try Tudor World, or visit the Butterfly Farm!
